High school, grad school, and my place.

Daily, I am reminded of how awesome some high school students are. Here‘s an example.
And: I’ve been doing my own bit of reading up on school, namely various graduate programs that might hold some interest for me. Over the course of last night’s web surfing, I came across what appears to be a neat landscape architecture reading list. I don’t think I want to study landscape architecture (though I did like what I read of Anne Spirn‘s work in STS.095 my senior year), but I do think I like it when departments offer a list of important readings in the field on their web sites. It’s smart, and it’s nice. Especially for those of us who feel somewhat adrift in the world of graduate school.
And my dad offers some advice on the phone tonight: “Anything that has to do with place would be good for you.” Yeah, dad. You’re probably right.
