Here is a picture of the pumpkin I carved last night in my last-minute personal Halloween celebration. The bulk of the evening was devoted to some serious cooking endeavors with Paul, which resulted in pork chops with a date, shallot, and red wine sauce, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, roasted brussels sprouts, and for dessert a pumpkin-almond tart. Delish!

    You should probably try the Dremel router bit.
    Kailas says that the best technique, though, is a
    drill bit in a handheld drill. I would prefer, of
    course, to take it to the next level and use a
    HSS end mill — no sense in beating at the pumpkin
    with dull drill flutes!
