Hey Dramashop folks…

Does anyone remember reading a play about conjoined twins at some point? I have this vague memory of it, but all I can think of is Naomi Wallace’s One Flea Spare, with which I think I associate many similarly weird/wonderful/bizarre/disturbing plays. Anyway, if anyone knows what the heck I’m talking about, lemme know.

  1. While you were or during the time you were first in college, there was a world renowned conjoinment that may have inspired the prwesume play.
    eh.

  2. Maybe Bernard Pomerance’s The Elephant Man? I’m not sure if they mention multiple people with deformities, but maybe?

  3. I suspect you’re talking about the original production of Sister Act, back before it was sanitized for the film version with Whoopi Goldberg. Jean Anouilh if memory serves – of course the whole thing is an allegory for something or other Nazis, I don’t know. All that foreign shit confuses me with its Nazi talk.

  4. Shit, I am talking about that musical. Damn. I remembered it as being something more interesting than that. But that’s absolutely correct — in fact, I’m sure a couple of people sang some song from it for the last end-o-year concert in mixed chorus my senior year of high school. Or maybe the year after I graduated?
Wow, my brain is apparently all mixed-up. Thanks!
