Gaiters.

When we had our big snowstorm this week, I went out and bought myself a pair of gaiters. Though I’ve only had them a few days, I can tell you right now that this is going to be one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. Why I haven’t owned any before now is a complete and utter mystery to me. They keep your pant legs dry, they keep the snow out of your boots… Fantastic.
In other outerwear news, I washed my down coat and vest today, complete with tennis balls in the dryer. And it’s a good thing, too: wind chill values tonight are expected to be as low as -37. Not that I plan on going anywhere: I’ve got a date with James F. Brooks.
