That’s the temperature in the house, downstairs. I’m upstairs, under the covers, writing, since it’s hard to stay still and stay warm. I’d light a fire, but we’ve got a guy coming to sweep the chimney in a few hours, so that might not be the best thing.
As autumn deepens and the weather cools, Paul and I have been enjoying following the Cold House Journal, a blog about living in Maine with little heat. We spend a lot of time thinking about how we would insulate the house if we had the time and the money. It’s good to imagine projects for the future. And know we’re not alone in our cold house life.
